YOU GRABBED THE AXE

You grab the axe off the wall and spin to face the door. The scratching and screeching is chaos. If you make a small hole in the door, maybe you can dispatch one squirrel at a time? You swing the axe and it lands deep in the middle of the door. Oh no! It’s stuck! You yank on the handle several times and the axe finally pulls away, but it takes too much wood with it! There is a splintered hole in the door now and it’s larger than you expected. One squirrel, then another, then another. They begin pouring in too quickly! You swing the heavy axe at the nearest squirrel and miss, embedding the axe in your wood floor. You yank the axe out of the floor, but the squirrels are upon you. They are swarming you now and all you can see is their inky bulbous eyes and fuzzy tummies. Your world fades to black.
